Acclaimed Americana singer Ryan Bingham (he’s also an Academy Award winner thanks to his work with T Bone Burnett on Crazy Heart) is set to release his next album, Fear and Saturday Night, on Jan. 20. In advance of his latest project, Billboard is excited to exclusively premiere his new track “Snow Falls In June.”
The album, released on his own Axster Bingham imprint (in conjunction with Thirty Tigers/Red), promises to be a personal and introspective work. To say he approached the recording process in an old school manner would be an understatement. Bingham wrote the twelve original tracks while he secluded in an airstream trailer without distractions in the form of people, cell phones, or even electricity.
“I wrote this song for my wife and it reflects the feeling of wanting to be there for another person no matter what,” Bingham tells Billboard. “Even when everything seems fine on the outside, to let someone know that you are there and they can be open and let you in.”

Ryan Bingham: My Grammy Moment
In writing the songs for the album, the Grammy/Golden Globe/Academy Award-winner came to terms with his past, from the alcohol-related death of his mother to the suicide of his father, to give fans an album that shows how he has been able to triumph through the hard times.
Produced and engineered by Jim Scott, Fear and Saturday Night is the second solo album for Bingham, following 2012’s Tomorrowland. He has also recorded three albums with his band, The Dead Horses.
